Three generations of
a single tradition

A devotion to Hindustani classical music passed from grandfather to family to Mrunal — held in trust, and given forward.

IGeneration One

Sangeet Bhushan
Pandit Ram Marathe

पंडित राम मराठे

Mrunal’s grandfather, Sangeet Bhushan Pandit Ram Marathe, was one of India’s most revered vocalists. His command of khayal and Marathi Natya Sangeet set the standard the family has carried ever since.

From childhood, Mrunal received her rigorous foundation in Hindustani classical music directly from him — the source from which her music flows.

IIGeneration Two

Pandit Pradeep Natekar

Mrunal advanced her training under Pt. Pradeep Natekar, deepening her classical grammar and refining the devotional voice that defines her music today.

Under this guidance the family tradition matured into a distinct artistry — disciplined in the classical form, generous in its devotional expression.

The thread that holds
“A tradition is not inherited. It is practised, every single day.”
